1888 JUNE 12
1Uniontown Area YMCA was Chartered.
The Gallatin Avenue facility was opened, during its 63 years of service it served the community with multitude of programs services and activities.

3Because of an aging facility and the need to expand programs to the community we moved to our current site at 1 YMCA Drive. This 9.8 acre site was donated by USX. in 2000 2.1 additional acres were purchased to complete the current property footprint.
Facility wellness addition made to the YMCA.

5100 year anniversary of the Uniontown Area YMCA.
A significant highlight for the Uniontown Area YMCA was when we completed the indoor Pool Project with special contributions by the Eberly Family Trust and Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Eberly.

Wellness facility addition made to the YMCA.

We added our first evidence based program, Blood Pressure Self Monitoring.
We added LiveSTRONG at the YMCA to our no-cost, community offerings.

We launched Enhance Fitness and Moving for Better Balance at no cost to the community for arthritis management and falls prevention.
JANUARY
We launched an evidence based, CDC-approved, Diabetes Prevention Program and Chronic Pain Self-Management Programming.

We launched Healthy Weight and Your Child, an evidence based, childhood obesity/weight maintenance program.
