SUMMER DAY CAMP

The Uniontown YMCA Summer Day Camp provides children with a safe, active, and engaging environment where they can learn, explore, and create lasting memories. Campers participate in a variety of activities including sports, swimming, games, arts and crafts, educational experiences, and outdoor adventures. Each day is designed to promote fun, friendship, and personal growth while keeping children active throughout the summer months.

Our experienced camp staff creates a supportive atmosphere where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and teamwork skills. Camp activities are carefully planned to provide age-appropriate challenges and opportunities for creativity while helping campers build meaningful relationships with peers and counselors. Every child is encouraged to explore new interests and discover their unique strengths.

The YMCA Summer Day Camp experience goes beyond recreation. It provides opportunities for character development, leadership growth, and positive social interaction in a safe and caring environment. Families can feel confident knowing their children are participating in a program that supports healthy development while creating unforgettable summer experiences.

    7:30 am – 6:00 pm

  • YMCA MEMBERS

    $150 per week for members.

  • COMMUNITY MEMBERS

    $175 for community members.

Payment is required at time of registration. If you are in need of financial assistance, conact our Finance Director, Robin (robins@uniontownymca.org) for more information.

Fees are$150 per week for members and $175 for community members with multi-child discounts for our larger families. There is a one time registration fee of $30 per child which includes a summer camp tshirt, bag and water bottle.

Drop off begins at 7:30 am and all campers must be picked up by 6 pm. More information can be found in our summer camp guide here!

ADDITIONAL PARENT/GUARDIAN INFORMATION FOR CAMP

Our goal is to provide your child with the best and safest summer camp experience ever! Camp is meant to be a place where kids can be kids having fun with old and new friends. Our YMCA staff dedicates their time and efforts to the youth in our community and we look forward to showing your children that throughout our summer camp program.

DROP OFF & PICK UP PROCEEDURE

Children must be signed in and out each day they attend camp with YMCA staff. Parents will not be permitted to enter any camp areas unless prior approval was given or in the case of an emergency. Camp staff will take your child to and from camp activities for drop off and pick up.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Unfortunately, due to Pennsylvania State regulations pertaining to licensed childcare, we are unable to accept ELRC/CCIS for our camp. We fully understand the financial burden this may cause, so we are here to work with you if you need the assistance. ITEMS TO PACK

There are specific items that campers should bring with them for camp. They will be playing sports, games, swimming, and so much more each day and we wanted everyone to be prepared!

Label what you can in case an item is lost so we can return it to the correct child. At the end of each week locker rooms will be cleared out and items left will be donated. Children can rent a locker for the duration of summer camp for just $20! You must provide the lock and

spare keys must be given to camp staff.

FIELD TRIPS

There will be weekly field trips, we strongly encourage every child to attend. The only children permitted to attend camp on field trip days, are those taking part in the field trip. We will not have other accommodations. This will be at an additional fee.

If you need to contact your child at any time, call the YMCA at (724) 438 – 2584 and ask to speak with camp staff.

SUMMER DAY CAMP POLICIES

Camp runs Monday – Friday, with select Fridays being field trip days. Field trips are an additional cost to attend, and spots are on a first come, first served basis. Camp will still be held at the YMCA for those who are unable to attend the field trip. A field trip schedule will be distributed to parents once they are finalized. Daily breakfast, lunch, and snack will be provided but children are permitted to bring their own lunches.

REFUND INFORMATION

Payment is due in full at time of registration by cash, check, or card. We will not be offering MBD this year for summer camp. If a child cannot attend a week they are enrolled and paid for, we require adequate notice of withdrawal. See below:

CAMP WEEK REFUND POLICY:

100% refund two (2) weeks prior

50% refund one (1) week prior

No refund week after week starts.

2026 CAMP RATES

WEEKLY RATES & REGISTRATION FEE

YMCA Members – $150 Community Members – $175 YMCA Multi-Child $140 Community Multi-Child $165 There is a one time registration fee of $30 per camper.

This registration fee does not guarantee a spot in the camp weeks.

This fee covers items that each camper will be given on their first day of camp. Multi-child rate is for each additional child from the same family. The first child will pay the full rate and child #2, #3, etc. will pay the discounted rate.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

To give all campers the same opportunity to get into camp weeks, registration for each session will open as stated below:
ALL SESSIONS (Weeks 1-11):
YMCA MEMBERS: March 1, 2026
COMMUNITY MEMBERS: April 5, 2026
All remaining spots will be open on a first come, first served basis.
